The Dementias Platform UK (DPUK) is a resource for person-centred dementia research designed to fast-track scientific understanding, treatments and the prevention of the disease.

It was established by the Medical Research Council in 2014 as a collaboration between universities and pharmaceutical companies. It aims to create opportunities for better research by giving researchers from around the world access to UK Cohort Data comprising over 30 UK data cohorts totalling over two million participants.

By integrating data from two million well-characterised cohort participants DPUK will generate the world’s largest study group for dementia research. The diversity of cohorts will allow the identification of mechanisms common across the dementias and unique to each dementia.

Data is currently being profiled and will be shared through Dementias Platform UK, making access easier and more accessible. To register for an account via the Dementias Platform UK data portal, go to https://portal.dementiasplatform.uk/account/dataportal

DTA would like to show our respect and acknowledge the traditional custodians of these lands. We extend this respect to elders’ past, present and emerging, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We also pay respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living with dementia and their carers.
