Overview

This is a train-the-trainer model workshop where key staff learn about Changed Behaviour (CB) and models to improve the care of people living with dementia, the CB toolkit and topics they can use in short education sessions and how to engage their colleagues and facilitate sessions back at their workplace.

We are now accepting expressions of interest for staff across Australia.

After completing this workshop, staff will have:

  • An increased understanding of the brain changes associated with dementia and how that may impact people living with dementia.
  • A greater understanding of changed behaviour and application of evidence-based approaches and models that improve the care and wellbeing of people living with dementia.
  • Increased knowledge of the Changed Behaviour (CB) toolkit to identify multiple ways this resource can be used to support short in-house education sessions.
  • Increased confidence in presenting CB sessions to their aged care colleagues using the CB toolkit.
  • Improved facilitation/training skills to support the wider delivery of CB sessions across the aged care sector.
